Docent Daydreams

Image - Docent in Met Museum

Title: “Docent Daydreams”
Medium: Oil
Dimensions: 6″x6″

One day at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC, I was getting a bite to eat at the cafe’ when I noticed this young woman sitting at her table. While waiting for her food, she glazed over into a daydream state and something took her to another place. She looked as if she had just stepped out of one of their Renaissance paintings. Her hair had a wavy texture and her skin was like alabaster. It appeared she worked at the museum.

Waiting for Monet

Image - Line for Monet Exibit

Title: “Waiting for Monet”
Medium: Oil
Dimensions: 6″x6″

Early in January, I went to the Monet in Normandy exhibit at the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh and it was very crowded. To manage the flow, they assigned you a time slot which you could enter the exhibit. The show has since ended but you can tell people really love Monet’s work by the turnout. I purchased a few postcards and placed on my board for reference and just to remember seeing the paintings in person.

This painting is sold.
