Wine Bar

I happened upon a young couple waiting to be served at a wine bar.

It’s actually a nice little wine bar in Asheville, NC – called Sante© Wine Bar – they have a website here. We had an hour to kill before dinner and stumbled across this little gem. Now, I recommend it to everyone I know. Reasonable prices, friendly owners/staff, a nice selection of wines, and great little bites to eat. What more could you ask for?

It was a gray misty day outside, but the huge windows let in an abundance of back light. She cast a beautiful clear shadow on the marble floor.

This basil is from my garden last summer. We love basil, and every year I grow a few varieties. This happens to be Thai Basil. It has a distinct licorice-y flavor that absolutely makes a curry dish. Drying it was an experiment as I usually freeze a bunch of it and put them into hermetically sealed plastic bags for use during the winter months.
